Extended Stay America Premier Suites- Charlottesville

We booked a room for 1 night. Drove in from Tennessee hoping to check into room after a long drive. Arrived at the hotel and was informed by the front desk staff that the room was not ready. They apologized and said that the room would be ready in about 15-20 mins. After about 1.5hrs we were still waiting for our room. At this point we are annoyed and upset at having to wait still for a room. The manager on duty, who I presumed to be Amanda Bullen according to the business card on the front desk, informed us that having to wait for a room this long was typical for hotels that were sold out. And that if we would like we were more than welcome to cancel our reservation and get a room at one of the other hotels up the street. And that is exactly what we did! Positive: It’s a new hotel. Very clean, good location and priced well for the area. No fuss , plain room but nice bedding. Went to a diner for breakfast about 7 minutes from the hotel on the main road into UVA and it was good. Negative: Breakfast was just grab and go.

This hotel is basically brand new. It’s within 5 minutes of most shopping and food. Location is perfect, no road noise and was pretty quiet. Free parking as well. Our room was very clean and nice. We had plenty of towels and the bed was fairly comfortable. The breakfast was a grab and go set up, and coffee was available 24/7. Would stay here again for sure

Our stay went well and the front desk was kind and helpful. Our smart TV had some issues the first evening but they were able to get it linked up the next day. Room was clean and dog friendly. No issues really. Would stay again. 👍🐶

Monday, Jan 26, 2026 ESA Charlottesville is now accepting cancer patients who are recovering from procedures at UVA Hospital (Emily Couric Cancer Center). American Cancer Society pays for the patient to stay for up to twelve nights. This is a new program for ESA Charlottesville, and they are still trying to work out the kinks. The hotel is new, and my room was lovely, but the construction was shoddy. My shower flooded all over the bathroom floor and throughout my room every night because no barrier was ever placed in the handicapped accessible shower. I had to have hotel staff come in and mop up the room every night. Finally, they gave me a key to a room across the hall and let me shower there while an effort was made to repair my shower.
