Econo Lodge Charlottesville North - University Area

The room was clean affordable. The front desk staff was very polite and accommodating. I had to checkout very early to catch a flight and realized at the airport I left my tablet in the room. I couldn't return without missing my flight so planned to call upon landing in Atlanta. Before I had a chance to call and immediately upon landing I had a message from the Econo Lodge North staff regarding my tablet and to call back with direction to retrieve. They held it for me for 3 days until my return flight. I am thankful for their concern and attentive hospitality to make sure my tablet was safe. My "go to" hotel in Charlottesville in the future!

A clean safe hotel with attentive office staff. Pros: easy and quick check-in ; almost perfect in the cleaning of the room; excellent job done with caulking around the tub;excellent outside lighting for the parking lot at night ; à clean parking lot;a very good location for travel. Cons: the toilet flapper probably the room behind my room 110 leaked water slowly and every 20 minutes would loudly fill that toilette tank. This was not the fault of the hotel because they probably didn't know about it; à minor problem with the lack of high dusting in the room. If the hotel would be so kind as to purchase à little 3 foot ladder, the house keeper could remedy this problem. I would suggest à little more variety at breakfast such as fruit. I would also suggest that carpet be placed on the secon

The hotel is a great value. The price was lower than the surrounding hotels. The rooms were newly renovated. Nice hardwood floors. Newer bathrooms. Nice fresh feeling. Even though it was right of I-64 it was on a side street so there was no street noise at all. Comfortable beds. USB ports right next to the bed. A great choice. Would definetely be my first choice when coming back to Charlottesville.

For what you pay, this isn't too bad of a place to book. The room was clean, sink has been updated but the tub has some stains on the rim (looked like potentially hair dye, so as a housekeeper I know those spots are incredibly difficult to get out). The room had a nice fresh smell. My only big complaint is the beds. Sheets were clean and stain free, but it felt like laying on a box spring or slab of concrete. These mattresses are hard as a rock, and within an hour of laying on it my back started to hurt. I had to take the pillows off the other bed to make a "mattress" so I'd be comfortable. Overall it wasn't bad, but if the mattresses were softer I'd have had a better night's sleep.

I love the stay when I am here. They make sure everything is taking care for you and is a big help solving problems if there is any. Staff is very kind and helpful like always. I do miss the bagels they use to have here though.
