DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Jacksonville Riverfront

had a great stay at this hotel. The room was extremely clean, well kept, and very comfortable. You can tell the staff takes pride in keeping everything spotless. Check-in was easy, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and everything was exactly as it should be. Overall it was a perfect stay and I wouldn’t hesitate to come back again. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place to stay.

We booked this hotel because it is a DoubleTree property, and as Hilton Gold members we have stayed at many excellent DoubleTree locations. Unfortunately, this was not one of them.||Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by extremely loud music in the lobby. After a long day of travel, we hoped to grab a glass of wine and head to bed. During check-in, we were told the bar was closed, though we were later able to get a drink—so the messaging was confusing, even though the bar service itself was fine.||The lobby had a strong musty odor, which unfortunately continued in our room on the 10th floor. The smell upon entering the room was overwhelming. The room itself was in very poor condition: filthy and torn carpet that was no longer secured to the wall, visible water stains on the walls, an

Worst hotel ive stayed in, ever. And they charged an unruly deposit. Around 400 bucks ... then I find garbage in the bed. Like IN THE BED. As well as stained carpets gross feeling bedding and the elevators smell disgusting. The pool is pretty sad and gross too. Staff is friendly. But thats about all I can say for the place. Take your money elsewhere. A later edit,after reading other recent reviews. A woman mentioned tar on her rooms carpet 2 months ago... im in that room. Dont stay here unless your ready to slum and desperate for a river view.

Location is superb for events in the downtown area with excellent views of river Ruth Chris Steakhouse is always impressive!! Rooms- really really not only need updating - bathrooms old rugs etc but filthy !!! The bathroom floor and outside balcony had not been mopped there was food on floor and dirty marks. Not stains I was able to clean them off with towel. Disgusting The rug in room really dirty also old but dirty. Disgusting I was afraid to put anything down or walk around barefoot The bathroom was atrocious . It appeared that the shower had not been cleaned shower doors dirty tub dirty I had to wipe it up with towel Bed smelled clean and towels smelled clean.

The rooms are very out dated! Stains on outdated carpet. Rusted legs on an old paint chipped vanity in the bathroom and the bathroom smelled of urine. I’m sure our suite was very nice back in the day, but currently not so much. On the plus side the shower was hot and the bed was very comfortable. Staff was very welcoming and friendly. This is the second DoubleTree we’ve stayed at with the same issues. We’re changing brands.
