Delta Hotels by Marriott™ Jacksonville Deerwood

Nice hotel & good location. However, there's no microwaves in the rooms, the floors are bare, & the elevators are super slow. I had to go all the way downstairs to the lobby, by the front desk to warm up my dinner. The image of the bed lights would be better, if you had an option to leave them on as an ambience.

I have quite a few thoughts about my stay at this hotel. Upon my arrival, the lobby had an incredibly unpleasant odor—imagine a mix of stagnation and something far worse. Naturally, I asked the staff about it, and they explained that there was an issue with the laundry room that involved some sort of cleaning. While they assured me everything would be fine as long as I was far from that area, it still left a negative impression.||As for my room, it was decent, but the overall cleanliness of the hotel could use some improvement, especially in the corners and crevices. My biggest disappointment, and the reason I wouldn't return, was their pantry concept. They have a designated food area for platinum members, but this means they don't provide breakfast as a complimentary welcome gift for tita

I had an outstanding experience working with Gretchen, the Sales Manager, and the entire team at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Jacksonville Deerwood. From the planning stages through the entire weekend, Gretchen was an absolute pleasure to work with—professional, responsive, and incredibly attentive to every detail. She and her team truly exceeded expectations. My clients were beyond pleased with the level of service provided. From the moment guests arrived, the front desk staff was welcoming and made everyone feel right at home. Positive: Staff was friendly and helpful. Negative: Staff was great. Check in easy and efficient. However, this is NOT a 4 star accommodation. The room was recently refreshed but floors were dusty, toilet unclean and beds subpar spring mattresses covered in mattress covers.

I had stayed here once before and got my room updated bc I’m a platinum member. It comes as a complimentary perk. I came right back to this hotel once I was in the area again. I wanted to leave and barely made it through the night. Whoever was working the afternoon check in front desk February 18 needs retraining. I was not greeted, I asked may I approach the counter. He still just looked at me. I said checking in for X. He gave me the key, didn’t say thank you for being a platinum member or really initiate any conversation with me. Then I got to the room and I nearly asked to switch immediately. I stuck it out but it was humid, musty and very smelling. Like cleaning supplies, smoke, musty smell on everything.
