Days Inn & Suites by Wyndham Rocky Mount Golden East

While the gentleman working the desk was very nice himself, the rest of our experience with this facility was absolutely awful and unclean. We opened the door to our room and the air was heavy with the smell of smoke and something else. There was still dirt all over the floor, the TV stand was covered in a dried sticky substance. There was a giant reddish brown stain on our lamp cover. The doors were literally torn to shreds and missing big chunks. Poles in the closet were bent. Dirty gaps between tiles in floor. Fitted sheet wasn’t even pulled down to the mattress and there were food crumbs on top of the pillows. It was as if they simply remade the beds (poorly) between overnight guests without actually cleaning the room or changing bedding - yuck. Shower was disgusting, large grey stain

We have stayed at numerous Days Inn locations, and this was the worst. In fact, Wyndham should be ashamed to have this property with their name on it. As Wyndham rewards members, we expect better.||||We don't ask for much...Cleanliness, and a reasonable attempt to give us a downstairs room, when one is available. There were MANY downstairs rooms that were empty for the night, but we were put upstairs, anyway.||||But let's start from the beginning...||||First, upon check in, we were told we had room 216, and that it was on the 1st floor. We thought it was odd, that a room beginning with a "2", would be a 1st floor room. But that's what we were told. We had asked for a 1st floor room. So, we drive in the direction the office guy pointed in, and the rooms on the 1st floor all began with

It was a very cold night but the room was very warm when I checked in, the room was ok but the bathroom needed some work, the door needed some repairs along with the tub it had a very bad dirt stain. The tub needed to be re-finished. ||They only offered coffee at the office area, no breakfast items at all.

Every room smells of smoke, of both varieties for which I dont partake in either so this was an uncomfortable place to stay. The staff was nice though.

Positive: Nothing, the person in room next to us OD'd. The room was nasty! Old socks n dirt everywhere. Negative: Horrible stay. Room was enough exceptionally dirty. Will NEVER STAY or Recommend to ANYONE...I really want a refund. Wasn't worth 10cents, would rather sleep in car, which we did...
