Days Inn by Wyndham Reading Wyomissing

The only good thing about this place is the great customer service and the location however this hotel was an experience to stay at to say the least and I won’t be returning. You may choose to stay here to save money but it won’t save you a headache. The lobby, hallways, and rooms have a grimey look and feel. They need major updates and renovations to get this place up to par. The clinentele are sketchy and disruptive. People are constantly slamming their doors and roaming in the hallways throughout the night. It appeared as something sketchy was occurring. The hotel says no smoking but the hallways smelled of marijuana. And perhaps worst of all, there was no free breakfast or gym as advertised. I was supposed to stay here for three weeks but will be canceling my remaining reservations.

I called and left a customer response. There must have been mold issues as there were 2 giant fans blowing in the lobby in dead winter. The lobby was dark and uninviting. The hall rugs dirty with stains. As we enter the elevator there is a distinct smell of marijuana which became even more pronounced on the floor we were staying, even though the front desk stressed multiple times to us that there is a no smoking policy and reminded about those associated fees. Odd because none of us are smokers. The "double" beds were excessively small and absolutely not enough room for 2 adults to sleep comfortably. The showerhead was broken and sprayed the water erratically and was not even attached properly to the wall. We also chose this place as it stated on website that their was free light breakfast

Ive stayed here several times throughout the last couple years. Since im currently looking for an apt ive stayed in alot of hotels in Berks county with varying results in comfort and convenience. Although there are "fancier" hotels within the general price range per room, I will admit this particular Days Inn is worth the price. For starters the rooms are decent size and the beds are pretty comfortable. Big screen tvs, refrigerator and microwave along with the standard hospitality fares ( soap, towels, coffee) are always stocked and clean, adding an extra layer of convenience. The staff are extra friendly and always ready to help with any situation. Also as ive mentioned the price is the best offer in town for a hotel just a stones throw away from the Berkshire Mall, 5-20 minutes walkin

Positive: "" Negative: It is very dirty, elevators bang at night consistently from being broken, dogs barking at night, some of the staff are not friendly and they make you feel as if your bothering them.

For what I paid, I'm not disappointed. The room was clean, the bed was fairly comfortable. Everything seemed clean. The only real downside is that there's very poor sealing around the door so I could hear everything in the hallway. But you get what you pay for so I'm not upset about it. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I've stayed at places that were almost three times the cost and weren't much better.
