Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Reading Wyomissing

The room was clean the man who checked us in was friendly. The pool was good, but I could have used a good scrubbing. The breakfast was something I was concerned about because of reviews but it was one of the better breakfasts in a hotel I have had. There was a good variety of food and drink! It was just layed out oddly. We stayed 2 nights, there was not any conditioner in the shower. I figured when room service came I'd be giving some. But they just took our towels and didn't bring anything back. Then when I got home I was charged a extra charge that no one can explain what ot was from. So those two things is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. Over all I'd stay again I enjoyed the stay.

So the location was great. Cleanliness was very good. Breakfast was ok. Not much selection. Decor in room was dated. Tile and grout in bathroom was dirty broken and stained. Shower head was ancient and caked with hard water scale. Worst was the bed. It was no better than sleeping on the floor. Old mattress was hard as a rock. and box spring squeaked. Disappointing since we paid a fair amount for 3 nights. Could not sleep thru the night cause the mattress literally hurt to sleep on.

Fine hotel...not bad, just nothing exceptional. We booked two rooms for our stay, and upon checking in only one was ready, even though we had been told both would be ready when we arrived. After 45 minutes the room was finally ready. Not the end of the world, but an inconvenience on our trip. The breakfast was fine... scrambled eggs, sausage, make your own waffles; coffee, tea, and juice. Nothing exciting, but it's included in the stay so you get the basics. The hotel is in a good location, close to restaurants and shops.

The hotel staff was very friendly had our key ready to go. 5 stars easy but then it does down hill The room felt very dated, the TV was very small, and our peephole cover was broken BUT the bed was very comfy and heat/AC worked great Onto the bathroom… it was updated with a nice looking shower but there was a weird blue growth on the shower head… first time not showering at a hotel might have been some mild growth around the base pan

I’m on my 3rd visit…. First 2 visits, I had to ask for towels numerous days. For some reason, they would make my bed, take dirty towels but leave zero towels. I also ran out of toilet paper on my second visit… Now, my 3rd visit, had to change rooms because there is no hot water in my room. Lastly, this is the only hotel I know that doesn’t have coffee and creamer 24/7
