Courtyard by Marriott Jacksonville at the Mayo Clinic Campus/Beaches

This is really a very convenient location right across the street from the Mayo Clinic. For places you cannot walk to, there is a shuttle that runs every 20 minutes. However, the building is very old & most of the furnishings, flooring, fixtures, etc. are old as well. It has popcorn ceilings. The grounds are not well-kept & clean. The “restaurant” leaves a lot to be desired. It is an open area across from the two front desk stations. I don’t think we will be eating there. The entire motel doesn’t seem clean & fresh because it needs to be refurbished. It is basically an old motel that was upgraded some at one time, but has been neglected for awhile now & the rates are very high for what you are getting. It’s been a big disappointment.

The location is ideal for Mayo Clinic patients. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Food was pricey but good. The room was average but clean. The bed was comfortable. The room layout made little sense. Picture a square room, king sized bed on the right wall. Huge armoir on the top wall. Right beside it is a 4 drawer chest with the TV on top. In order to see it from the bed, one must physically pull the chest away from the wall and then extend the TV on its stand. Good thing this 80 year old woman is very strong. The other thing is this room was considered to be an "accessible" room. There was no tub but a low threshold shower. That was fine and worked well. Soooo I got the room here as part of a work package, and it was really, really a great room. I had dental surgery right before I checked in, so I did not get down to the restraunt/bar/breakfast area till Wednesday evening. Needless to say, I missed out! Taylor and Mark are AMAZING at what they do. They make you feel so comfortable, and welcoming. It's their guest services attitude that makes you feel like you are at your best place ever. Please, please don't let these two go, they embody great customer service, and really make you want to come back time and time again!!!

This hotel is located on property owned by Mayo. We stayed there twice, both times to be close to Mayo for medical procedures. The staff is pleasant and helpful. There is a small dining area located on the first floor with a limited but tasty menu. Very convenient place to stay if Mayo is your destination.
