Comfort Inn & Suites Kansas City - Northeast

Location is EZ to get to, but it's terribly loud at night. Breakfast wasn't bad. Not good, but not bad. Could use lots of fresh fruit. Otherwise, very nice & clean. Pleasant & friendly staff. Would recommend as nice to stay if you don't mind traffic noise.

I travel weekly for work and usually rely on reviews to find a solid spot, so I was really hoping for a better stay here. The staff was fine, but I was pretty bummed to find some dark stains on my comforter. It just didn’t feel as clean as I’d like when I’m on the road. ​I also noticed several homeless people hanging around the parking lot and entrance. While I understand the situation, it did make the property feel a bit less secure for a solo traveler.

Avoid at all costs. This is on the level of a hotel 6 as far as cleanliness and rooms. The room was very stinky and even had one of those air scrubber things left in it when we arrived. The paint was chipping and rust on the light fixtures. The carpet was dingy and pretty sure animals had peed on it. Breakfast was a mess. The person stocking plastic ware used their bare hand to grab the end where you eat off of and then placed them upside down so a random kid coughing in their hand touched every end you eat from. Overall lack of training and cleanliness left a pretty bad experience. You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. First and last time at a comfort inn.

I was very disappointed with this Comfort Inn - we have stayed at several over the years, but this was very dark and dingy. They only gave us one small bar of soap, (for bath or hand wash) and, not once did anyone come in to clean the room. Saturday morning breakfast, we had to wait for someone to fill the waffle machine before we could get waffles and several people were waiting. Also, on Saturday morning, no orange juice, it just came out water. There was only a young boy doing the service for the kitchen. Also, the cleaning staff were not very friendly, they all looked like they were in bad moods. It was just the first morning there, one was cleaning person was friendly. We had to get our key reset once because it wouldn't work.

I had an emergency stay that I needed from Tuesday until Friday and they did not have enough rooms to go that many days so we booked it for 2 days and we booked another stay for three more days lasting till friday. The manager Cash was his name saved us over $100 by transferring the room without charging us an early check in fee, and made it where we didn't have to transfer rooms with the new booking. He also found the best rate based off of discounts that we were trying to use. Saved me and my wife and my newborn baby tons of time and money and stress. Thank you so much Cash. Because of this experience I signed up to be a member and I will be staying at comfort inn hotels as much as possible for the rest of our traveling experiences.
