Comfort Inn Smithfield near I-95

Let's start with the staff. The women who checked us in was friendly and cordial. After a long days drive she was a breath of fresh air. Now the negative. Some of the towels in the bathroom were not as clean as they should be (stained). The shower wall by the middle seem was moldy. The toilet paper dispenser was broken and hindered proper usage. Then bed was uncomfortable. You can tell that the facility was aware because they attempted to fix the issue with a mattress topper. Didnt really work.

This place needs a much needed cleaning. Firstly there was left over serafoam food containers in the refrigerator. Second, the bath tub has this awful yucky black stuck on mat that looks as if it needs a bottle of bleach poured on it. The floor needs cleaning . The desk looks as if it has not dusted I. a year or two. I will only recommend this place if someone is really tired and cannot find any other place to rest themselves. The location bis good because it's off interstate 95. That's all.

After a long 12 hour car ride we arrived at the Comfort Inn in Smithfield, NC near I-95. We booked two adjoining rooms, one for my parents and one for me. We brought our luggage in and dropped everything off in my parent’s room. We then left the room to go across the street to eat dinner. Upon entering my room for the first time, I went to turn on the light and noticed the lampshade had bodily fluids all over it. My dad had to fix the stopper in the sink because it wasn’t connected. Our mattresses had giant stains all over them and our linens had hair on them. I then opened up the drawers and saw little bugs crawling around inside. It’s a good clean hotel with an excellent breakfast great eggs not the rubbery stuff you get at some hotels. This is an older hotel but efforts to upgrade are continuing I stay here at least once or twice a year. Price is great, staff are all very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Easy access to the interstate. Lots of restaurants nearby.

We (myself and my 2 teens) stayed at this location twice via a travel agent on November 14/25, as well as November 30/Dec. 1. We had the same person check us in on both occasions, as she was very nice and pleasant to work with, she was a bit unprofessionally dressed and each time had what looked like a large mint stuck in her cheek. The first room was a little dirty, greasy smears on the headboard, dusty, stains on the carpet, no bedbug mattress cover, and roaches in the bathroom. The second room was more of the same and even dirtier!! Stains down the walls, on the ceiling, carpet, window was broken and covered with tape, the swivel lock was broken and missing a screw.
