Sleep Inn & Suites Smithfield near I-95

Clean and pleasant Nice staff! Clean. Lots of pillows. The room was not cramped. Nice office chair. Sheets are microfiber. Breakfast is limited - eggs and sausages (good), waffles. Only white muffins, wonder bread and mini muffins. There's no sugar free, whole grain option.

Overall, this is very clean, friendly staff ,nice little breakfast buffet that starts nice and early so you can get up and out on the road early . Conveniently located near outlets plenty of dining options very safe parking lot. If you did stay there, make sure you check to see which restaurants give you a discount. I did not find out until afterwards .It Is one of the better options of places to stay in Smithfield

We just spent the last 2 nights at the Smithfield Sleep Inn on our trip down to Florida. Because of a bad winter storm on the East Coast we waited it out here. We have stayed here in the past and we already knew it was a nice hotel and great place to stop but what we learned on this trip is that they have some of the best staff we have come across during our years of travel. The Manager Nickie and House a keeper Chrissy both went out of their way to make all guests that were stranded there because of the storm comfortable. These women didn't go home for the 2 days we were there because of the storm and all of the other employees called in. Don't see such dedication these days. And they were as friendly and as pleasant as could be even tho they hadn't been home in days. Thank you Chrissy an

Staying here comes with mixed feelings. The staff from the front desk to the cleaning ladies were all great. The bed was comfy. The place seemed clean. Chocolate chip cookies! Breakfast was typical processed food. The place needs a refresh. The microwave turntable didn't work, the refrigerator froze everything, the bed had divets from prior guests and then the roach. They offered to spray or change rooms but I was leaving in the morning and I'm super sensitive to chemicals. It's the south.

Excellent stay overall. Third floor hallway dated carpeting smelled a tiny bit musty like wet dead cat fur, but not a deterent. Receptionists were great, especially Holly.
