Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Smithfield-Selma, NC

I wasn’t expecting a hotel with an under $100 per night price point to be so nice! The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfy, and the pillows were puffy. My only issue was the blinking light on the fire detector, but I still slept ok. The breakfast had a lot of options and the coffee was nice and strong. The shower had excellent pressure and the bathroom was nicely decorated and functional. The best part was the built in night light! I didn’t have to blind myself in the middle of the night. All in all it was a very pleasant stay!

Location of hotel was okay. But they are in the middle of a set of hotels and did not have a large sign. Without GPS, hard to find. We had reserved two rooms, a room and a suite. Unlike other Country Inns and Suites suites, the suite was simply a room with a slight divider in it -- a wood panel with slats that went about 1/3 way across the room. We were expecting a room like other Country Inns and Suites that had a separate bedroom and living room and two TVs. In this case, the one TV was in the bed area and far removed from the sofa area not ideal for viewing. The third thing that happened was that one of our rooms was "occupied" by cleaning staff, evidentally taking a break when we arrived. Friendly and courteous staff. Rooms were spacious and very clean! Hot breakfast served with your stay. Plenty of parking. The location is unbeatable! Off of 95 South easy in and out. Huge plus is the Outlet stores with a variety of options to shop and multiple restaurants (literally) right on its backyard! If you are traveling south and need a safe and clean place to rest with your family, Country Inn in Smithfield, NC is GREAT!

Unfortunately our stay was not a pleasant stay! We were here celebrating our birthdays! My wife and our granddaughter have the same birthday and with them both having a day off i wanted to let them relax. The staff was great BUT when we got ready for a nap, we pulled out the pull-out bed to find a dirty sheet! There were also dirty pillowcases but no other bedding! We tried calling the front desk but the land phone did not work! My wife went downstairs and was given bedding! So later they took the opportunity to enjoy the pool; however, within minutes of getting in the cold pool there was a bug/worm floating around! It was alive- my wife has a phobia of unknown bugs and it was at this point that their birthday relaxation was just over! She was told that all of the information of the negat

This was not a good hotel. The elevator and lobby smelled great but once in the room I thought I would die it smelled like animal urine!!! I asked for another room it wasn't much better the heat and fridge didn't work. I thought if I ask for another one it would only get worst. My husband hated the breakfast the sausage was cold like it was just poured out a bag the eggs were runny, I ate the bagle it was good. I guess you get what you pay for SMH don't waste your money here. Pet friendly is how I describe this place.
