Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds

The first room I was in was dated and smelled funny. After turning the heat on and waiting for it to get warm I took a nap. I woke up with ants all over my pillow. I got up and the entertainment area and desk was covered with little ants. I looked in by the fridge and there was mouse droppings. Lady at the front desk brought me ants traps. And within 30 mins they were covered. So I requested another room. So she moved me. The new room the door handle was very loose and there were screws all the way around the door. Im assuming holding the lamination together? Not to mention this room smelled worse. And the recliner in it looked like the one we used to have at our camp years ago. Old, dirty and stained. And because I was worried about bugs i lifted the sheets. Didnt find bugs but the mattr

Positive: Friendly staff Negative: Location was okay and my gf gotten bed bugs. Staff was friendly and apologized, will fix the situation. Plus the room key kept getting disabled

At first glance, it didn’t look that good but once I laid in that bed, it was amazing and the staff upfront was amazing. It was actually a really good stay, but the Internet is supreme. Best Internet I ever had at any hotel was here telling you right now, best ever, and that bed was so comfortable. I couldn’t believe how comfortable it was. It was like I was sleeping on feathers in the snow was taken care of. I didn’t get stuck. It was great. Everybody had dogs nobody no dogs bothered anybody. It was great.

We had a stressful situation upon arrival because our Booking.com reservation had not gone through properly. Thankfully, Greg at the front desk (I hope I got his name right!) was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. Even though it was around midnight, he went above and beyond to sort everything out and make sure we had a room for the night. His calm and friendly attitude truly made a difference after a long day of travel. The rooms are a bit dated and could use some updating, but everything was very clean and well maintained, which we truly appreciated. Thank you again for the excellent service — staff like Greg are the reason guests come back.

Jess is incredibly kind and helpful. I lost my keys and had a small issue with a room when checking in and instead of making me feel like I'm a problem she was super friendly and was ready to help. The rest of the hotel is very quiet and clean, the breakfast area has a cute sitting area. I will absolutely be staying here again the next time I'm in Syracuse.
