Comfort Inn Monticello

I typically don’t review hotels because, for us, they’re often just a place to rest our heads between adventures. That said, seeing this one sitting at a 3.9 rating genuinely surprised me after our stay, so it felt worth sharing our experience. The space was clean, fresh, and clearly updated. The hallways looked recently renovated, and the room itself was comfortable, quiet, and felt completely refreshed from top to bottom. Even the shower stood out with great water pressure, which is always a welcome bonus after a long day on the road. Based on our experience, this place deserves a much stronger recommendation. It was warm, welcoming, and far better than its current rating suggests. Give it a shot. I hope others walk away just as pleasantly surprised as we were.

Good location but a little hard to find the u-turn spot in the dark needed to get to the hotel. Room was nice, comfortable bed. Tv had some issues, picture on several channel fuzzed out after a few minutes to a funky green and yellow blur. tv listings sheet on bedside table did. not correspond to the actual tv channels. Some into on how to turn off the light behind the bed would be very helpful. I could not find the switch until il about 1:30 am and I don’t sleep well with lights on! Breakfast offerings were very good. Staff polite, overall clean hotel, easy parking. I would return

Absolutely nightmare of an experience dealing with this place. Our crew (12+) are in town for the buildout of the UVA Hospital and were hoping to find a decent place close by. The first night, our lead technician went to book a room to check accommodations and booked the hotel room under our reservation, paid for the room and went out to go meet the rest of the crew. Later returning, the key card was inactive and he was unable to enter the building. He went back to the front desk and the manager on duty stated "there was an issue with the card" and she was "hoping he'd come back?" to fix the issue himself? No phone call. No email. Nothing. After collecting just about every piece of information needed to check in and then not utilizing it when it's actually needed is beyond me. He had to ca

Positive: Breakfast was ok. Negative: Water gushed out of the toilet tank when flushed. The faucet came off when you lifted it for water. There was no freezer in the refrigerated so that we could refreeze our freezer pack.

Bed bugs! Watch out! It happens but this time to us. Front desk was very nice about it, offered us a different room or cancellation + full refund. Reasonable. Everything else seemed nice for the hour we were there. Best of luck to whoever’s next!
