Clarion Pointe Syracuse Downtown

Great price, better than the majority of downtown Syracuse hotels. Area might be considered rough, but room was spotlessly clean, and quiet. I was on the ground floor, last room. Bed, carpet, bathroom, all perfect. Shower control was polished like a mirror! Very friendly staff, both the gentlemen at night, and lady in the morning. Liked their eggs and hash browns. I needed a cell phone charger and the gas station across the street did not have one for sale with “the cube,” and she let me have one. That was great as it was the only business open nearby and I had no wheels. Very much appreciated!!

The hotel is clean. The staff is very pleasant. I really felt welcomed by the staff. The coffee was good/strong. The rooms are a little small but clean. The bed/pillows were comfortable. The location is not ideal but it is still walking distance to downtown attractions.

We’re traveling by bike along the Empire State trail- Clarion Pointe was conveniently located along the route. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, and had a refrigerator and microwave. Great breakfast- surprisingly good coffee. A secure building, also saw they had chargers for electric vehicles. They let us store our bikes in the room.

the rooms were sufficient for what we needed. but the entrance to the rooms were outside and it was 5* outside. The breakfast was cold(eggs and biskets) and very little available even though we went down at 7:30. My main complaint is when i got my CC bill there was a gratuity charge for hourly staff that i didn't authorize. Nothing was mentioned about this charge either upon check in or when i checked out. The date this extra charge was added was the day after we left. and this charge wasn't on my original receipt i saw it added when i viewed my bill on line after my CC Bill arrived

Looked up hotels in the area by Crouse Med and this one popped up. Price decent compared to others. Photos looked good and the reviews also. You know how that goes. Honestly. My room was very modern and sleek looking. Very clean as one would hope to expect. Discount for my wife being at the Med. Center. Continental breakfast 6am to 9am. Very satisfied and pleased.
