Cascade Hotel, Kansas City, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

We have stayed here three times and loved it. The vibe is modern and rooms are thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience. A fave touch are the cool little ice machines that make small soft ice, and the accompanying dispensers with choice of sparking or still water. Love filling my bottle or glass before hitting the town or the road. The spa is nice too. Got a massage and enjoyed the experience. Location near Country Club Plaza means there are dining/bar options in walking distance of the hotel.

Hale and Astrid were phenomenal! From their welcoming tone to their going above and beyond to help accommodate me with storage of food and assisting me when I forgot my key card. They were always smiling and approachable. Their customer service made my stay! People like them truly elevate a brand/product and are what bring back customers!

Beautiful hotel with many accomodations. One street over from country club plaza. The rooms are luxurious. The bed is comfortable and the shower is huge. A coffee machine and mini fridge are provided. I loved the sparling water faucet in the hall. The lobby is decorated nicely and the hotel staff are friendly. Astrid made our check-in run smoothly.

Positive: Very pretty hotel, had few different food options on site and even some walking distance away. However, I felt that they were not catering to business travelers since none of the food vendors opened until 7am, not even the coffee vendor!! Negative: The entry door to my door kept sticking really bad. I mentioned it to the staff downstairs, but I was there a whole other day and no one had been up to fix it. Also the showere water temperature was very finicky.

My husband and I were supposed to be in Marco island Florida to celebrate our 34th anniversary. Our daughter was admitted through the ER at St Luke’s on the plaza Christmas night. Cascade hotel was close by so we walked in at 4am looking for a place to stay and were met with so much compassion and care. That continued on through our 6 night stay. Every day we would add a new day thinking maybe our daughter would get to go home. The staff even sent a care package to our room for our anniversary which we spent eating carry out from Kona grill in our room because it had been a rough day at the hospital and we were tired.
