Budget Inn Monroe, LA

This place wrongfully made people I knew leave due to having 4 people staying in one room. (A mother and her 3 teenager children) They were homeless and had no where to go. Paid for 3 full nights, but on the last night, were threatened with police and asked to leave. Very disappointing because a mother can’t have 3 kids and purposely leave one on the street because the motel doesn’t allow a 4th person. Unacceptable!!! Don’t spend your dollars there!

Room was clean, smelled funny, but that wasn't just the||problem......... Don't trust them !!!! At first I wasn't going to||complain. There was a strange smell as you walk in but the room||was clean and we were tired. There was mildew on the shower||curtain. I would have just mentioned this to them until the $$||incident. We booked with Budget Inn of Monroe because of the $43||price on booking.com and drove further from the highway for this||price. When we got there we were told $59+. I showed her the $43||price on Booking.com but she said that there was also a $10||service fee. I asked for what and first we were told for cleaning?||What? All hotels clean and don't charge you. I thought it was||almost 1am I said I'd deal with this in the morning with the owner||who I was told was asleep. A

Do not stay here. Rooms ate not clean. No housekeeping service. Days pet friendly. Do not bring your pets here. They ate mean and rude to fur babies. Refrigerator didn't work.TV didn't work. They never fixed them. Outside is dirty messy and has crack pipes and a total mess. Pool is green. Can't get toilet paper fresh towels. The staff isbrude and yell at you. Tent rooms by the hour. Night time isn't safe. You cannot communicate with them they lie about everything because they can't understand what you tell them. Do not bring kids or pets here its not safe. Its not clean and they ate totally rude. Make people with service dogs pay a fee. Electricity is horrible the wires are diesinigrating. Older lady had no air and they wouldn't move her. Rooms smell horrible.

where our room was located was quite. the room is what you get for a 2 star motel. i personally didnt see any bugs, but my travel companion(s) did. lots of kids playing in the back parking lot. management was nice.

My experience was horrible. Front desk clerk not friendly or couresty at all. Room & carpet was nasty. Microwave didnt heat food thoroughly. Stains on walls and floors The short guy at desk was quite rude if you asked for additional amenties like towels etc. Seemed distracted and not willing to accommodate. The worst place every stayed. Wouldn't recommend in the future to anyone staying the weekend or passing thru
