Residence Inn by Marriott Monroe

Really nice clean rooms. Smelled and it was 100% clean. I check under the mattress for bedbugs and the mattress has a very good protective cover . Good brand and Full size shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I will definitely make it my favorite hotel. The kitchen are let’s me prepare some food and no have to eat at restaurants. I was so happy to have a kitchen. It had everything that I needed.

We arrived at 1a in the morning after a lengthy drive and found the condition of the property deplorable. |Upon arriving, there is a musty stench, we chalked it up to humidity and it appeared there were some renovations. |However, once we got to our room it was apparent this property is not sanitary. |The words do not do justice to how disgusting this property is. I've attached videos and photos. |We immediately left and found a different Marriott property that was clean and in the condition that anyone would expect for the $200/ night rate for a hotel. |Marriott should be ashamed that this particular property is even open representing the Marriott brand.

The Residence Inn Monroe was really a pleasant surprise after traveling the interstate better than 500 miles that day. Call us jaded, but my wife and I expected that the place would be "sufficient" to stop for the night. We didn't arrive until 10 pm. The rooms were much nicer than we expected, very quiet, clean, and the bed and furnishings were very comfortable. The staff was quite friendly and professional, and gave us the impression that they really cared about us enjoying our stay. (I can't remember the last time I had that impression.) The free breakfast was a real surprise. The dining area was very clean, well appointed, and the food was top notch.

. Staff is friendly and Patricia the cook is amazing! My dad who is the pickiest eater was happier than ever with her breakfast. We really enjoyed her food and great personality as well! Rooms are in need of improvements but would come back just for her cooking.

We are traveling for job and this is a nice place with good rates. Staff very helpful and friendly. The morning breakfast is so good, the best I have eaten at and that is included with your stay. The only draw back is my husband leaves at 6am and breakfast doesn't start until 6:30. But if we stay on the weekend he does get the breakfast!
