Budget Inn Alcoa

2 stars and that's me being VERY nice!! My husband and I arrived at 530 pm to check in to our reserved room. No one was at the front desk but there was a sign saying "gone to airport will be back shortly, if an emergency call 0 from lobby phone or call #" when you call 0 from lobby phone or the number on the sign it literally rings to the front desk, right where you're standing... Smfh.. we left and went down the road to shoneys to eat dinner, came back around 630/7pm. Again no one was at the front desk and the same sign was up. We ended up standing there for about 15/20 mins before a guy driving a black mini van came rushing in. He checked us in no problem. Room initially seemed nice, however we had a non smoking room yet the blankets had burn holes in them. Room had no soaps, only 1 towe

I decided to give this place a shot even tho the reviews were terrible. I instantly regretted it! When we pulled the sheet down the bed was disgusting with tons of stains and mold on it. There was black mold on the ceiling. Tried to take a bath but there was no way to plug the tub. And whenever we did use the shower, the handle to the faucet jus fell off! The TV didn't come with a remote so we couldn't even watch TV. And there was no phones in the room. Whenever we first got here, we stood at the desk for several mins before we were even helped. Then whenever we came back to the front desk to get some help with something, we literally stood there for 10 mins before we were helped. Only decent thing about this place was the location of the place and the cheap price.

This place has seen better days for sure. I agree with some of the other comments written. The room was dirty, planes fly over the place quite a bit, you can hear the people next door through the walls, Alcoa's finest does make their friendly appearances at least once a day- per an Alcoa PD officer. A dirty towel was still hanging on the bathroom door, used bar of soap on the shower soap tray, and the one that really got me was a freaking pube hair in the microwave! The color of choice in the bedrooms could be better. Oh, if you get room 123, be careful as you turn on the light strip. The switch is by the door with a metal plate. It gets to be a shocking experience at times, hence the wiring isn't right. Have an exciting stay!

Roaches!! Roaches everywhere. The manager won't refund our whole reservation due to "cancellation" even though roaches carry disease and my husband and son left immediatly. They are scamming people. False advertisement by claiming to have a clean safe room/bed for your stay. Then, they are trying to keep the payment for one night due to "cancellation". Disgusting. They should be ashamed. My husband and son were left to book another hotel that same night so that they had somewhere safe to sleep.
