Americas Best Value Inn

By far the worst, most nasty hotel I’ve ever stayed at in my life and I travel a lot. I meet the staff at the front desk who barely speak English and can hardly understand. Next I walk into the room which they claim is the only one available when I passed by several other vacant rooms up to the third floor. As soon as I open the door I’m greeted by the smell of old cigarettes even though it was supposed to be a non-smoker room. One of the bed headboards was sheered off the wall and there was what seemed to be old, moldy food in the crevice of the detached headboard. I thought, okay, this is crappy but it was cheap for a weeks stay so okay. If you are on a tight budget, and do not care about addicts hanging around, book a room here. Booked back in April, and they lost the reservation. Our first room wasn't even clean and no exaggerating, the tub had cigarette burns all over it. Middle of July and the pool is closed. The stairs need some repairs. Spend the extra 40-50 bucks on a good, safe room somewhere else.

We had 3 different rooms, 3 couples, we came in to ride the Dragon. We booked the rooms online and we was told they don’t show our reservation and they are going to go ahead and find us some rooms. By management he “upgraded” our rooms. I’m not exactly sure what kind of upgraded we got, room 1 when we walked in smelled of smoke (non smoking) bed is ridiculously nasty, bathroom around the tub cigarette burns, holes in ceiling, and while we was trying to sleep there was a mouse in the wall that scratched all night long. I got no and I mean zero sleep last night. Room 2, two full size bed “upgraded” again room filthy, same issue with the bathroom (cigarette burns around tub) room had a roach on the wall. My husband and I were spending a few days away from home, nowhere in particular to go, and we were very tired by day's end and just wanted a good night's sleep. I searched for a place on my phone and saw that this place was conveniently located and was the name of a place we had stayed before (NOT knowing the name had changed). When we arrived, we just decided to stay anyhow. The room looked okay to begin with, but the longer we stayed, the worse things got. We probably killed 20+ little bugs on the floor! Dirty cobwebs in the corners of the room. Furniture was stained. Cigarette burns on the side of the bath tub in what was suppose to be a non-smoking room. It was awful! There were roaches! Also had nasty carpet and old uncomfortable, squeaky beds. There was a large gap under the door for the bugs to come in. The worse part was that there was only one wash cloth for 2 people and when we ask the front desk for one more he was very rude and said he could not give us one then told my husband he was not allowed to walk outside with his shirt off. We had just left the pool! This place was a nightmare!
