Best Western Vista Manor Lodge

I usually like staying at Best western's. They're usually pretty decent for the money. But this one the rooms need to be updated, especially for what they charge. We were told when we called that we couldn't use my points for the king bed so we ended up paying full price which is crazy for being in November. When we got to the hotel the kid there said we could use a point but not at that time because we already made the reservation. There is a nice access to the beach which goes under the road so you don't have to try crossing.

This hotel is ok. It wasn't clean, but not dirty either. I think just old. The view was ok, you can see the ocean in the distance but the bridge blocks it. Convenient tunnel to walk through to get to other side of highway and the beach, though it wasn't well marked. The noise from the highway was pretty loud but traffic was less overnight so didnt affect sleep. Breakfast was convenient and typical for free breakfast. Vending machine to buy water was not working so person at front desk sold us some bottles (cheaper than the machine was charging) so that was nice. The sink and mirror are outside of the shower/toilet area which is nice, especially since hotels never have well vented showers anymore. Very few outlets in the room. Parking was easy and plentiful. I wouldn't say to avoid

Positive: Stars is polite and helpful Negative: Hotel building we were staying in was secluded from the main building. Gave me a creepy feeling. Breakfast food counters were not kept full. Staff was not vigilant to re-filling food items. No towels in the pool area. Have to ask at front desk.

Let me start by saying this motel is old. The newest thing about it was the Best Western sign next to the road. That being said, everything else about the place was great. The owners stayed late to make sure we got our keys and got in. They were great. The room itself was a little dated but was clean, comfortable and well stocked. The bed was soft and and the sheets were clean. The next morning there was a ton of breakfast food waiting in the main building which was all good. Don't sleep on this place, it's the definition of looks being deceiving. If and when we ever return to Fort Bragg we won't hesitate to stay here again.

Beautiful view of the ocean and Pudding Creek trestle which you can walk or bike across. Room was comfortable and clean. It comes with a complimentary breakfast, however it doesn’t open until 7:30am. They served sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, packaged pastries… hot and cold beverages.
