Best Western Kenner

Stay elsewhere. This place is not that nice for a Best Western and the manager/owner/operator needs serious training in customer relations and franchising. He thinks that Best Westerns don't have to accept the Best Western Gift Card, (which they are required to do). He even stood there pounding his fist on the counter when I tried to show him the room was paid for with a BW gift card. I had to call BW customer relations who couldn't believe what they were hearing about this person's conduct. They intervened and had to straighten this person out about how to run a BW hotel, even though he bragged about having 40 years in the business while he stood there pounding his fist on the counter.||While the manager/owner was in the process of making a complete fool of himself another clueless

The first guy who greeted us in the evening was very sweet and friendly — great first impression. However, when we walked into our room, there was a strong smell of cigarettes/smoke, which was really unpleasant. The room itself wasn’t very nice and could definitely use some updating or remodeling. The TV didn’t work properly — only basic cable, no Netflix or streaming options. Overall, not the most comfortable stay, but I guess you get what you pay for. I was glad we were only there for one night. On the positive side, the breakfast in the morning was great — good selection and friendly staff setting it up. Unfortunately, the front desk lady at checkout wasn’t very friendly and seemed to have a bit of an attitude, which was disappointing after a decent breakfast experience. Would I reco

We had a good stay with our kids, rooms were clean and it felt like good value. Some improvements can be made, which would make it a better stay, but nevertheless, we felt it was an overall good stay. Cons: only one guest laundry machine and one dryer and they weren't performing well. There were residue detergent powder after wash, and after a dryer cycle the load was still wet. Management should get new laundry machines. Swimming pool and whirlpool were cold. I understand the pool being cold since it's connected to the outdoor pool, but the whirlpool should be heated. Pros: excellent staff, Robert was very friendly at check in, breakfast staff very attentive, and rooms were cleaned/made up daily. No carpets in the rooms, which is a great plus for us.

Robert carrying this best Western on his back. He even came out in the rain to help me figure out a place to fit my truck and trailer when it was limited truck parking. Only negative is the tub and bathroom floor could of been cleaned better, other than that it was a comfortable stay for a night.
