Best Western at O'Hare

I booked this hotel online, because I had an emergency to attend to, when I got there it smelled like mold, and it was dirty. I walk up to the clerk to check in and he told me it was too early, check in was at 3p, then he said to reserve i had to pay another $50. I gave him my credit card. I did not completely checked in, i spent the night at the hospital, the next day I booked at a different hotel that was cleaner, cheaper, and very good customer service. Best Western would not refund my money, these people are crooks and should not be in business at all, they are in business to steal people's money. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS NASTY HOTEL, BEST WESTERN IS THE WORSE I'VE EVER WALKED INTO. Comfort Suite was so much better.

Stayed here this past weekend. Won’t ever stay here again. Pool was out of service. When we got there the toilet in 211 wouldn’t flush then the staff at the desk refused to give blankets for the pull out bed my child was suppose to sleep on. I asked for my money back or move us to a different room after he told us to jiggle the toilet handle. We had to constantly keep asking for a room key because our key kept messing up. The elevator sounded like it was going to break at any moment. The back wall on the elevator was lose. Wouldn’t allow my husband or child to stand by it. The only decent about this hotel was the location. We won’t be staying again.

No reliable shuttle service to airport. Had to pay cab fare to get to airport which significantly increased the expected cost of parking. We were told we would be reimbursed for the cab fare, but the manager would not do this. We felt that the free shuttle service was misrepresented in the description.

Does the job, but nothing more. Staff are friendly and reasonable. Room was clean, but the fridge did not work. You can see the attached pictures for an overview of what my room looked like. The bed was clean, no bedbugs. The entire floor and my room smelled like insecticide or some other air freshener, and it was a bit overpowering. When I stayed, the main elevator close to the lobby was broken, so I had to use what appeared to be the secondary elevator which was a bit sketchy (the buttons did not light up and the whole car jerked at every movement). The airport shuttle was great! You simply call the hotel when you need to be picked up, but the van is usually already doing its rounds and comes about every 30 minutes from either Terminal 5/2 Door E. There was a small amount of confusion right away where the shuttle was going to pick us up at O'Hare, but we quickly got that resolved (if flying domestic go to door 2E on the first floor of the airport). Once we arrived we had friendly staff and a clean room after a long day of travel. The complimentary breakfast was good and there was no hassle for a late check out. Good experience at a very good price.
