Baymont by Wyndham Jacksonville Airport

To begin the sign for the business is not correct. There is a small banner stating it is a Wyndham but that is partially ripped down and not visible from the road causing difficulties for the uber driver to find it. There is a different name on the main sign. Sadly the room I stayed in was rough. The door would not close correctly. There is a gap so large that the parking lot lights enter the room. The cabinets were falling apart. The room smelled strongly of bleach. Soaps were missing. There was fighting and yelling in the parking lot throughout the night. Honestly I am not from this area but it was pretty rough. This was a "remodeled" room the paint was fresh but they painted over de-lamenting counters and cabinets. The beding was ok. The floors were not clean and hate to say it bug

I was only there for a few hours since my flight was delayed till 10pm, the lady at the front desk was very nice and helpful, she allowed me to check in earlier and understood my situation. The beds were suuuuper comfortable, had a great nap and made it finally to my flight. The only thing is the room smelled a lot like cigarettes and that was very unpleasant

Neat, tidy room with interesting, modern decor. Comfortable, clean bed and bathroom. Unfortunately, the hot breakfast that was advertised did not exist, due to their lack of delivery of supply at the Holiday. The exterior walkways and stairs could sure have used a mopping, as there was a spilled, sticky drink on the stairs and the hallway floors were very grimy.

I’m fine with the rooms and the entire place though it’s a bit basic, but nothing surprising. But I’m very upset that all of a sudden I’m told there isn’t any airport shuttle operating when this is obviously for most travellers a key reason why they live here, it’s proximity to the airport. To be told just before one checks out and needs an airport ride, is just ridiculous. Just because you give me a cute smile doesn’t make it okay, how dumb!
