Americas Best Value Inn & Suites Sumter

Where do I start? I arrived at this "hotel" and was immediately put off with the people who were just "hanging out" in the parking lot. I checked in with the 2 ladies at the front. I had made my reservation through Expedia so my card had already been charged as well as $60 worth of One Key Pass credits that I had with them. I was given a key to the room. I literally walked in, the tv cut on mysteriously (or maybe it was left on?), smelled marijuana reeking through the room, the drawers had crawling bugs in them, the telephone did not work, there was no remote so that I could cut the television off, and cigarette butts and coca cola bottles were behind the night stand. This place is horrible. The picture doesn't match the actual place. It seems like a hotel foe homeless people. We pull up around 11 pm. And was scared to get out of the car. People outside smoking weed. I look at two room and it smells like smoke..They should take this add down..

If i could rate this place a negative 10, I defintely would. The staff is terriible, hateful, and high as kites. It smells like marijuana EVERYWHERE. Even the doors on the rooms are covered in filth. My family and I booked 2 rooms but after arriving and seeing how unsafe and disgusting it was, we decided to find somewhere else to stay. The lady at the desk claimed she hadn't run our cards yet and would allow it to be canceled. Here we are a week later, and they are trying to keep our money and we didn't even stay there. So not only is the place absolutely disgusting but the workers are dishonest and greedy. I never even got into my room because the keys they gave me wouldn't work. My parents got into their room and it reeked of weed and was nasty. The entire atmosphere is VERY sketchy. I h

I should sue for false advertisement. Please rename ASAP. This place is like the love child of a gas station bathroom and a dumpster. I could submit every square foot of wall to ancestry.com. I have seen cleaner sheets at bus stops. There wasnt more toilet paper on the door casing than the roll. Anyway. Just sleep in your car if this is the last place in town
