Americas Best Value Inn Smithfield

This....this was just terrible, not worth the price. Fridge was uneven, tilted a lot. No bed sheet might I add had to buy a new one. Smelled like someone lit a joint in my room and left wet swim suits. This was just terrible. Nothing like the pictures made it at least bare able. Left out the black light photos because Google guidelines but I did find stains on pillows, bed, the bathroom wall? It was just gross overall. Gonna burn my clothes when I get home.

My son and I stayed here for about 4 months while we were waiting for housing and we could not be more pleased with our experience! The hotel manager Mike is very kind and hospitable, the front desk staff are courteous and always helpful, and the housekeeping staff are all absolute sweethearts! The rooms are very clean and comforting and the hotel itself is very neatly kept and in a quiet location. We didn't have a single problem for the entirety of our stay. If you are looking for somewhere safe, clean, and affordable while you're in Smithfield - America's Best Value Inn should be your #1 stop!

For an older motel, this place was TERRIFIC! I honestly wasn't expecting a whole lot when I made my reservation because I knew it was an older an inexpensive motel, but that was totally fine with me - all I needed was a place to sleep and take a shower. And the price was unbeatable! However, I was unexpectedly surprised when I walked in my room - it smelled SO good and that, along with the cheery green and yellow painted walls, gave it a "homey" feel. The bed was VERY comfortable - I don't know if it was because of the mattress or the linens or the comforter or all of them combined, but I was more comfortable there than in my OWN bed! If a 0 was an option I would have picked it. I was traveling with my elderly parents and needed a first floor walk in otherwise a hotel would have been my choice. At first we were put on the end unit next to the woods there were no other cars in the parking lot. We were moved but the TV did not work. We inspected for bed bugs and did not find any but there were other bugs in the room. The comforter had blood on it. I was scared to shower due to the filth. I put a towel down in the bathtub. We were afforded 1/4 roll of toilet paper and given 2 towels and 2 washcloths. We walked back to the office and waited no one came to provide us with extra towels. Breakfast looked like days old food I wouldn’t feed my dog. Needless to say pass this place by. It is hard to locate any ways
