Aloft Miami Doral

I am very impressed with the customer service from this Aloft location. On a very busy Miami race weekend the front desk attendant, Isa, has been soo wonderful from the moment I walked in. Scratch that - actually it started BEFORE I walked in! I called to check if a room would be available as I would be arriving well before the 3PM check in. Isa advised because of the busy weekend there would be no guarantee but she’ll do her best. I watched her tend to so many customers in such a busy hour with such grace and efficiency! I was grateful when a room became available and she made sure to beeline over to let me know. She’s so thoughtful and polite, I think she’s an excellent representative of the company. Thank you, Isa and Aloft, for an excellent stay!

Nice hotel, comfortable rooms great bar service. The down side is that you hear the planes coming into MIA airport and the walls are thin. So every night if you are a light sleeper you are going to have interrupted sleep.

Rooms were fine, looks like any other older Aloft. Furniture and finishes not in the best condition, but I can deal with that. One thing I couldn't deal with though was the bathroom. The water pressure was way too strong, and you might think this is just a prissy Goldilocks preference thing, but no. Not only could I not shower without the pain of pins and needles (forget about putting your face in the water, unless you wanna feel like shards of glass are flying into your face), but no matter how much I tried to adjust the gage, the water pressure remained so strong, it would shoot out of the shower and between the glass door seams to flood the little shower and toilet area. So after getting out the shower, I am standing in 1/2 inch of water, grabbing all the towels and literally getting on

I normally stay next door at the Element but could not get a room so I stayed at the Aloft (which I have stayed at more than 6 times previously). This hotel is in a convenient location but really needs some maintenance. The air conditioner was very noisy and running a lot more than it needed to, the room was either cold or warm..... There was no happy medium. Saturday we had a warm shower, Sunday we had to take a cold shower. How can a modern hotel not have hot water? Room service was the highlight, they cleaned the room very well. Next door at the element you get a very nice breakfast, but you have to pay at the Aloft which is crap food and its the same owners. Also Friday night the lobby and hallway sounded like a 3rd world country, very noisy and no English. I wont be patronizing this h
