Wingate by Wyndham York

Checked in here 3wks ago. The hotel is in good location, it's surrounded with restaurants, grocery store, gas station, and other variety of stores. Nice lobby and good people. Bathroom is pretty clean. Room needs more clean, saw a lot of stain in floor and chairs ,hardly sit on it comfortably without worrying if its clean enough. Someone keep yelling in the next room and cursing and making noise. Didn't get some good sleep. I don't leave bad review unless its needed for improvement. But still a good price to stay one night or two. But not more than that.

Positive: Room was good size. Her and pillows were comfortable. Parking was available close to the entrance. Negative: Lobby/breakfast area did not have a good smell in the morning. Not sure what the smell was, but it wasn’t welcoming. Public areas could have more cleaning.

Room 204 was ok...very spacious. The staff that I dealt with was very friendly. The people in the room above me - #304 I would presume - had heavy feet and the floor squeaked terribly (hard to sleep when they were walking around at 3:00am), there's a slight musty smell about the place, the grout on the bathroom floor was cracking and falling out (I actually stepped on a piece in the middle of the night, cut my foot), there are NO actual USB ports except for the 2 on the cheapo Timex clock/radio, no channel guide for the TV, the breakfast was nice (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, toast, etc), 24 hr coffee station is DEFINITELY nice, no bugs were seen, bed linens were clean, towels had a few light stains. Not a bad place to stay, just needs some refreshing. I'd stay there again. 1000

Rooms and facilities were definitely abused and worn. CBD "skunk" filled our room from a pretty wide gap under our door. The day time staff were very nice but the evening staff seemed like we were a bother, disruptive to them surfing the web. The beds were comfortable and quiet even though it sits in a busy area. Yet, II would not recommend this location.

I really had high hopes for this hotel! I left it thinking that the price was good, and the bed was comfortable. But a couple hours into my trip home, I had itching on my arm and hand. It turns out those were bed bug bites! I called the hotel and told the manager, and he said he would check it out. If this problem is taken care of promptly, then the hotel would be great. Besides this, my stay was good
