Wilderness Inn Cabins

BEWARE OF THE NORWAY We stayed at the Norway Chalet at Wilderness Inn from February 19, 2026 through February 22, 2026. The reservation was made through VRBO. Upon arrival, we found that the property did not match the listing photos or advertised condition, particularly the bathroom, which was extremely dirty and unsanitary. After we contacted the owner to report the issue, a cleaner was sent to the chalet without prior notice while we were present. Due to the unexpected arrival and the use of strong-smelling cleaning chemicals while we and our dog were inside the unit, we declined the cleaning service at that time. DO NOT RENT THE NORWAY My husband and I rented this chalet for three nights. The bathroom was so disgusting that we didn’t even shower. In addition, our exterior door didn’t lock. A quick resolution by owner, he sent cleaner unannounced to clean the bathroom. We declined due to being present, chemicals needed to be used during cleaning, and we had our dog with us. I requested a refund and the owner just wants us to receive a one night free stay at their place again. NO THANK YOU.

This is our 35th annual fishing trip and it just keeps getting better and better! Yann and Robert were amazing as always, even comped us a bottle of wine for our group with a note thanking us for our loyalty. This place is everything you would want when you are trying to get away from the city and from your day to day. If it wasn't for the snow, we would retire up here. Cabins are so cozy and stay nice and cool under the canopy of trees. Quiet nights with a campfire after a long day of fishing, what more could a guy want. We already booked for 2026 before we left! If you are thinking of a trip to the ADK, this is the place to stay. Thanks guys! - Frank

Highly recommended cabin!! We needed a place for the night and it was already dark. Richard was very friendly and urged us to put our bags down and settle in before even taking details and payment. The cabin was very clean and extremely cozy. Wifi worked well, plenty of hot water and great amenities. I would definitely stay here again!

Been going there for years. Right next to the Whiteface Mountain. Very nice cabins. Last time we were there, after a weekend of fun, we left for home not noticing that my jacket was missing. I left it hanging on the wall hangar that was right behind the front door. That evening I called the owner and as soon as I said what cabin we were in, he said "you left your jacket there". :) He said that he will stop by the post office the next day and send it to me. Would not let me pay for the shipping. A few days later, I had my jacket back. Great guy, great place!
