Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort

Excellent ski mountain with plenty of run options and variety for everyone. As someone who's skill level is beginner to intermediate, I very much enjoyed the green runs on the left side of the mountain, which is where I spent most of my time. If you fall into this category, I'd recommend parking closer to the Bear Den lodge vs the Base lodge. The mountain also wasnt too busy on a beautiful Thursday/Friday which was when we visited.

We learned to ski at Whiteface and come back each year. The instructors are amazing, patient, and knowledgeable. The slopes are great with beginner friendly slopes up to intimidating blacks. Nice long runs and fast lifts allow you to maximize time on descents. Great open terrain and spectacular views.

We had an amazing time at Whiteface Mountain Ski Resort. As beginners, we chose Bear Den Lodge, which was perfect for learning. The staff were very courteous, and the ski rental team helped me find a better boot fit after my first pair felt a bit loose. The trails were well groomed, the lifts were fast, and my daughter had a blast on the Flying Squirrel freestyle trail. For beginners like me, I’d recommend taking the Notch lift. We mostly practiced on Otter and Loon trails accessed by the Falcon Flyer, and we capped off our first ski season by taking on Boreen Trail, which I felt was a slightly more challenging green. Just a tip: parking can be tough later in the morning, so arriving early helps.

Family get away with our 7 year son 1st time we went to Oktoberfest to ride the gondola and see what it was all about. Very nice vendor's set up in their own tents. Food was pretty expensive for 3 people but maybe just where we got it from. Just plan on bringing a few hundred and bring a credit card because some vendor's only take instead of cash. Got to listen to 3 men with lederhosen then try it ourselves if we wanted to. Also have Bruce house and a couple other things for children to do for free! All in all I would recommend if you like hiking as well! You can go to the summit of Whiteface as well. Got free apples for the gondola ride. Yummy.. Beautiful scenery!! Definitely something I would recommend doing!

First time skiing at Whiteface, and it couldn’t have been better. Perfect weather and excellent snow conditions. Easily one of the best mountains within two hours of Montreal, even better than Tremblant. The long runs are amazing. Such a fun day!
