Whiteface Suites & Cabins

Here's why I couldn't give this a 5-star rating... We stayed in one of the suites for the weekend. First off, the amenities were very clean and updated. Nice little kitchenette and big bathroom. Unfortunately, the photos on their website are a little deceiving when it comes to the location. While the place itself was nice, it was literally right next to a main road that goes through Wilmington. While sitting on the nice deck, every 10 seconds or so a car is driving by and you're in plain view of the road. It wasn't the quiet place that it appeared to be in the photos. Not somewhere you'll find a completely quiet stay if you're looking for one. Other than that, it was a nice place at an affordable price.

We had a great time! The small and double cabins are walking distance to the beach and playground. They are off of a dirt road away from the main road. The cabin was very clean and perfect for little child. So much to do that is close by. Loved the canoeing and kayaking. The owners are very nice people too. We had a great week there!!

My family had such a pleasant experience at Whiteface Suites and Cabins this Labor Day weekend (2016). Our large cabin did not look like a typical "log" cabin that we used to camp in rather it was like a little ranch home. The owners (Larry Hegele and wife) had done lots of work to fix the cabin to accommodate a large group size (8 people). The cabin has a nice size living room with a small flat screen TV (which we did not use either), a fireplace, two futons, a coffee table, and towards the kitchen it has a little dining room table, a small fridge tucked against the wall. The kitchen is rather small and cute. It has a nice size table and benches that can fit up to 4 people nicely. It has a cute little stove with oven built in and a nice size sink. Unfortunately, no microwave there,

Owner was initially understanding when we needed to delay our arrival. We paid one night's deposit in advance. However, upon arrival we paid for another night then found the cabin to be musty and were concerned for our allergies and asthma. The windows were stuck shut and the a/c wasn't installed due to the humid & cool summer. We decided to leave and asked for a refund of one night (since there was supposed to be only one night deposit) and he said yes but then when we came back a few minutes later changed his mind. We still couldn't stay due to allergies and asthma so we would have missed out on two nights. He called later after renting out the room to offer one night's refund. Long story short, things worked out in the end though we didn't stay.

It's The Best place to be thankful for my landlords I love having the experience of being in the ADK and living by the beach is awesome I love fishing 🎣 it's not to far to go how about hiking always loved to go hiking it's just so many different things I can do from living in the city
