Grand View Motel

Very clean, very good service and hospitality. A comfortable and clean room; AC fine but showerhead could be updated. Pool cool clean and rare to find at motels in the area. We always liked the Adirondack chairs on the little manicured lawn watching the traffic go by as we sip our am coffee...we choose the Grand View when visiting friends and family in Wilmington for comfort, quiet, cleanliness and hospitality and the nig clean pool! Stores and restaurants close by...

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights at this hotel in October. The location is convenient to the High Peaks as well as Lake Placid. We enjoyed the the quiet surroundings in Wilmington and the view of White Face from the hotel. The owner/manager ( I assume) is very friendly and helpful. He makes you feel very welcome and at home. If you like wonderful water pressure in your shower, this place is for you! After a hiking a peak, the shower is wonderful. The coffee maker and refrigerator were exceedingly clean, that is something a few places might over look.||||However,although the hotel is non-smoking, our room had a strong smell of masked cigarette smoke. Great little place! Glad I found at last minute on very busy weekend in lake placid. Very reasonable price and stayed two extra nights - total of three nights. Owner very helpful, phones had been out so he ended up with vacancy.|Very pleased |Had everything I needed and convenient for riding bike. I’ll stay there again.

Last minute stay. Owner / clerk very nice and accommodating. Was a steamer of a day and the pool was beautiful! Cool, clean and surrounding seating very nice. Room was updated, very clean, working fridge, everything you need. Nice setting near all the mountain biking and swimming holes. Holiday week $127 for a double. Bed not luxurious but did the trick. Thanks, will be back for sure.

Our room was simple, no frills but clean. Refrigerator, TV, and AC all worked perfectly. The bathroom is small and it would be great to have an exhaust fan in there, but again it was CLEAN. Owner is very friendly. It’s about a 20-25 minute drive to the Lake Mirror/Lake Placid area.
