Mountain Brook Lodge

The rooms were dirty and uncleaned when we got here. The bathroom was disgusting and had to be cleaned by myself before use. There's no one actually at the building so if you have any problems you have to wait for them to come. The water is unclean and unsafe. The service isn't the greatest. The only redeemable factor is the location is close to everything. I would rather camp out in my car. Deserved a refund didn't get one. I will never come to this place again. It's an unsafe Un clean hazard.

One of the most unexpected, pleasurable experiences our family has ever had . Under dire weather conditions, the staff took their time to accommodate our visit while requesting an extra nights stay. Thank you Mountain Brook Loge for your hospitality.

I stayed here with my sons while skiing at Whiteface. We checked in close to midnight. Freezer had frozen coffee cups from previous occupant. A bra under one bed, a shirt under another. Dental pick on the floor by one night stand and issue paper curled up behind the bathroom door. The heat source is an electric fireplace. The only way too get the room warm was to roll a towel and block the wind coming from under the door. I contacted the innkeeper but no reply was offered, even a couple weeks later.

We had a fantastic stay! Affordable and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Clean and updated rooms. Check in and check out were very seamless and Benjamin was an excellent host willing to help in any way needed. Location is spectacular with a variety of dining experiences and proximity to skiing, hiking, and the town beach.

We had a packed schedule exploring Lake Placid and just needed a clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced place to spend the night. Mountain Brook Lodge was a perfect fit — great value for money, very neat and tidy, and equipped with all the essentials: a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee machine. We also appreciated the convenient keyless entry using door codes, which made check-in and check-out hassle-free. We’d definitely stay here again on our next visit to Lake Placid!
