Western Inn Marietta

Large cockroaches outside rooms, and quite a medium sized roaches inside rooms. Also unsafe, there was an infant newborn that was shot a few months ago in the next building over. They sometimes have an armed security guard patrolling at night . You also get unsolicited people knocking on your door at bizarre hours. Would NOT recommend to anybody.

The outside may be a little off putting but the inside of the rooms are well kept. The people who are at the desk including the owner sometimes are extremely nice people. They don’t have a problem helping, giving towels or fixing anything. For the money it’s worth it. Ignore the outside, remember you’re not booking at the Hy

I didn’t dig into many reviews before I booked a room. Thankfully the hotel has a policy that once you check in you have 10 minutes to get a refund. The man at check in disappeared right after we checked in. Upon arriving there were people sitting around and many cars in the parking lot with flat tires that appear to have been there a long time. Walking in the room we were greeted with the pungent smell of stale cigarette smoke and comforters with burn holes in them. If you can live with that, the price is good. I only spent 60 seconds in the room, but knew it wasn’t for me and my family. Great location if you’re going to watch the Braves though.

We had to leave before the end of our stay. I am not 100% sure of what I saw, but I believe I saw both prostitution and drug dealing on our first day. The place made us very uncomfortable because of the people and activities going on that seemed really weird and unsafe. We chose to leave after one night even though we paid for three. I would never go back here!

Nice folks. Friendly. I think every hotel in the area has bugs of some sort. But there's were to a minimum, which at least shows they're fighting back, apart from all of the ones owned by outside interests. The place was clean, but certainly not renovated in recent history, but I was able to sleep there, unlike the other roach motels in the area. They had nicely stocked towels and amenities, nice TV and the bed was made with actual covers, unlike the plastic tablecloth I had the night before. A welcome reprieve and friendly folks.
