Dobbins ARB Rec Area & FamCamp

Another nice Famcamp. You need a military ID to access the base. Some of the campsites are hard to get into because of the angle of the ramps. Our site had great water pressure, but a few sites down the person staying there said they had no pressure. There are bbq grills but not much flat space for sitting. We'd stay again.

Fantastic experience. The ladies at the Outdoor Rec are super nice and helpful. The campground isn't huge, but it is quiet and kept up. There isn't any fishing in the nearby ponds because of contamination, so you will have to go elsewhere for that. FYI, don't check out and leave your RV on base anywhere else. The cops don't like it...lol. We will return.

It's pretty good for a overnight state or maybe two No internet access so you will need to tether off your phone... My Verizon only showed 1 maybe 2 bars, but I was able to to get what I needed. Done across the internet and I could actually stream movies Campground will work with you whether you're coming down or there... On base and is patrolled... Very dark though... Need to have extra lighting on you

A glass half full, half empty issue. How far back in history do have to go when campers and trailers where relatively small. That's when this Fam Camp was created. Pretty much left to nature. Each time we come I need to do work on the site. One time the site, like most, was cut into an embankment. Much erosion made it hard to move around in back of our trailer. Did some shoveling. This time was similar. The grills have pads of stepping stones. This one was totally obscured by dirt and a mound of pine cones, pine needles, boken branches & twigs. Had to clear it all away lest an ember start a conflagration. Biggest issue are the trees. Left to grow over time they make it often very difficult to maneuver a rig into a site. Had a big "Grand Design" come in this week and it lost an encounter
