W Hollywood

I do not recommend this hotel. My necklace and earrings were stolen from my room. Also, if you are traveling for business or an event that is paid for, you still will be charged a daily 'resort' fee, whether you use the offers or not, which was an unwelcome surprise.

Stayed here for New Year’s Eve as I went to the New Year’s Eve rooftop party, and it was a nice stay. The room was well insulated from noise and its right in the heart of Hollywood so it’s a convenient spot. We parked at a public garage for $20 a night rather than doing valet (no self parking option available). Plenty of restaurant options and though they don’t give you an extra mini fridge, they assured us that we could use the mini fridge that held the drinks to store our leftovers.

This hotel has a fantastic location and a ultra-moden design. What has come to be SOP for Marriott room (at least for me), check-in was disappointing. Why do I have to ask if the room was upgraded AND how do you move me down a floor into a room facing a side building and call it an upgrade? Double bed (too low to sit comforatbly) and bath. Not Spectacular at all. I've seen others complain about noise. My experience wasn't with people noise but the A/C. Much too loud. The vinyl covering on the room bar was tattered top and bottom. Very inappropriate for a hotel of this category. On the other hand the bathroom was very nice and roomy. Sheen at guest reception was very friendly and was more than helpful getting a document printed for me. Overall the place had a very clean and fresh apperanc

This is one of the good ones in Hotels. Convenient, accessible to Hollywood, courtesy, accommodations and most importantly Staff professionals. Spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day away from home is an experience itself. Spending it here with such a great staff was satisfying and fulfilling. Our room was beautiful with staff constantly checking in to make sure all was good and everything we were expecting. Their working on a holiday didn’t show any sadness as I know I felt sad about working on Christmas. It was a great week and the experience was awesome. The new restaurant was very tasty and well done. Food was great and staff very helpful. Very happy we chose the W and definitely coming back.

The bed is the best part of this hotel, sheets are great and the room has a nice modern decor. Sadly the food in both the cafe and the living room bar is quite disappointing. The more traditional American food options are much better than the Asian fusion ones. Our tom yum soup was sadly made with water not milk making it just shrimp in chili water. I wanted it to be better 😭
