The Adler A Hollywood Hotel

I think this place is great. Huge rooms, tea and coffee making facilities (finally!!) and a great bar and diner downstairs. Friendly staff and a laundry. $5 for wash, dry and detergent. Exactly what I needed. Good location too. I can see how the rooms on the road side would be noisy so make sure you get the Hollywood view rooms.

We stayed 1 night 4th Sept. Had a good room, city view. 3rd floor, the room was good size and had a safe, microwave and fridge, sofa and storage. the nice touch in the bathroom of cotton balls and q tips. the guys on reception when we arrived were really lovely. good location as we went to Griffith park in the evening, it was a bit noisy from the roads but we slept well, beds were comfy. the hollywood sign is close by and the view from a few streets over is worth a walk/drive.

The hotel is incredibly noisy and located right next to a busy road. The windows and walls are not soundproof at all, so it’s impossible to get any sleep because of the constant noise from the street. We tried to change our room, but we were told that it wasn’t possible. I definitely do not recommend staying here.

The shampoo/ body wash containers were empty & had not been top up before we check in. What a disappointment.

I cannot recommend this hotel due to a serious security failure and unprofessional staff. At 3:30 AM, a non-guest was allowed to wander the halls, shouting and banging on my neighbor's door for 20 minutes. It took at least two complaints to get staff to remove them. The hotel's explanation—that the person was visiting their partner—is unacceptable. Allowing unregistered individuals access to guest floors in the middle of the night is a shocking and dangerous lapse in security.
