Viking Village Motel

My son and I just stayed here and really enjoyed our stay. The owner was really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and even though we didn't need anything, Paola was around and said if we needed anything to let her know. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in the future. The location is convenient and quiet.

The hotel staff was responsive. The bed was reasonably comfortable. And the place smelled like cleaning fluid when I checked in. But those are the only positives I have. The paper thin carpet was badly stained, the blanket had big holes in it, the flat screen TV was 12” and got only a few channels, the Wi-Fi was weak, the bathroom was in horrible shape. I do not recommend.

Spent one night at Viking Village. It was quite the value. Room was small, rustic, clean, quiet and comfortable. There are places nearby to which one can walk for something to eat, and several more about a mile away. Go out to Rock Island if you get a chance.

I loved my stay here at the Viking village. It is small but spacious and is a perfect place to stay while on the island. The room was clean and the fans were perfect at night. Paola was attentive and responded quickly to all questions asked. We didn’t have any issues our whole stay here. And the view outside at night perfect to see the stars. Will most definitely stay here again well worth it.

After staying at Viking Motel, we had mixed experiences. We stayed in one of the motel rooms, NOT the apartment. A few positives: the room was relatively clean, the beds were relatively comfortable, the location is near cute shops/restaurants, the daily rate is economical, and the refrigerator in the room is a nice touch. We stayed here in late July, and having a box fan in the window was absolutely adequate and kept the room at a comfortable temperature even in the heat. However, there are a few basic aspects that were less than pleasant. Firstly, the door lock/knob was extremely difficult to turn in order to lock.
