Gibson's West Harbor Resort

We stayed in cabin #5 and were immediately taken by its nostalgic charm. The quaint cabin was perfect for everything we needed as a home base to explore the islands. In the evenings we enjoyed relaxing on the beach with our own fire watching the beautiful sunset. At night we were put to sleep with the waves crashing on the shore. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I stayed here over a weekend when I was visiting the area. This place was so cute! Herb, the owner, was so friendly and welcoming. We loved watching the sunset over at the pebble beach right on property. Before we checked out, we took a short canoe paddle around the little bay - one of the many boats that are free to use - and it was so much fun! Can't wait to come back here next year.

Clean although basic rooms, no AC. Bathroom at end of hall. Outstanding common areas with games, and library. TV available in common area.

Old fashioned, quiet, friendly, polite, homely and absolutely wonderful. If you want AC, loud music, thumping nightlife and a mini bar, it's not for you. If on the other hand you like old-school honesty and hospitality, you'll feel very much at home. Can't wait to find an excuse to travel another 4,000 miles to visit again. Thank you!

We traveled with our 9 year old grandkids. The Gibsons went out of their way to make our visit enjoyable. We all played horseshoes, we kayaked, canoed, swam, and enjoyed a fire at sunset. Our cabin was comfortable, with everything we needed to make our own meals. The kids had a blast
