Rock Island State Park Campground

An amazing experience I hope I get back and can do again at some point in my life. From our initial drop at the huge icelandic stone boathouse. Huge lake trout circling about. I knew this was a place like no other. Walking around the island, pay close attention to the ground and dune edges. One member of our party found a knife blade from the French fur trade era. Others found arrowheads and pottery shards. This island has allot of history. After dark a blanket of stars covers you completely. With no light pollution the nighttime views are unlike anything else for those of us coming from metro areas. Camping is rustic tent camping only but an experience you’ve never done before
