Dor Cros Inn & Island Rides Bicycle Rentals

We rented bikes from this Inn on a day trip to Washington Island. we were picked up at the ferry terminal and driven back at the end of our day by the owners. The hosts are incredibly kind, the service was fantastic, and the bikes were well maintained! Next time we come here we will stay at the inn because of its 1930s charm! It's like walking into an old postcard. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much!!!

I've been visiting the island and sharing wonderful times with Cory and Laura for about ten years and will continue to do so! The Dor Cros Inn has been my haven to unplug, hike, relax, read books, watch movies and participate in great back yard bon fire conversations. "My" cabin 7 has consistently been immaculate and ready for me no matter the time of day or night arrival...always with a night light on and a welcoming note! If there's anything about the island you need to know or get a restaurant recommendation - Cory is the ambassador of the Island! You'll also notice Laura's touches with flowers inside the rooms and lovely lake themed interior design ensembles. If you're looking for a peaceful Inn for your Island visit...this is the one.

Dor Cros Inn, on Washington Island, combines superior customer service with clean, cozy comfortable accommodations plus so much more! Laura and Cory are amazing hosts. We were immediately welcomed and were treated like family from the start. Once settled in our meticulously clean cabin, it was time to relax where we enjoyed a cold beverage on the premises at “Cabin 9” an outdoor patio area with music and seating overlooking an inviting fire pit for later. Need a bike? Island Rides Bicycle rentals are conveniently located on site. Laura and Cory go out of their way to share all the island has to offer and the best bike routes for any fitness level. We have absolutely loved our Dor Cros Inn cabin (home base) on Washington Island! The rooms are simple, clean, and stocked with the essentials. But my favorite aspect of this getaway are the little surprises around the property… a fire pit all set up for us to strike a match, Cabin 9 — an honor system happy hour spot complete with great old 70s rock n roll playing, a clothes line for our beach excursions, and Island Rides bike rentals right on property. Also, the location is ideal. We were right at the intersection of major roads, walkable to great coffee, burgers and even popcorn! Finally, Cory and Laura and just good, kind, friendly folks. If (when!) we get to come back, we will absolutely stay at Dor Cros Inn again. Thanks, Cory and Laura!

Cory and his wife were phenomenal throughout this entire experience, not just kind and welcoming to my fiance and I, but also treated our Dog Lemon as a valued customer. They kept great communication, and had so many recommendations for spots to visit on the island. They also provided shuttle pick ups & drop off for the fairy.
