Vagabond Inn San Luis Obispo

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars This isn’t a luxury resort, and it’s not pretending to be. But it’s clean, it’s safe, the staff works hard, and it does exactly what it needs to do — and that matters. If our service workers, first responders, traveling contractors, and everyday heroes can stay in places like this while they’re out there keeping the world running, then anyone in entertainment or chasing fame can too. Comfort isn’t always about marble floors and rooftop pools. Sometimes it’s about a good night’s sleep, a hot shower, and people doing their best. I appreciate the staff for showing up and doing their jobs with professionalism. That alone earns respect. Grateful for a simple place that gets the job done.

This hotel is one of the least expensive in town. While not a terrible experience, that fact was fairly obvious at times. I will say that as a person who is disabled and requested an accessible room, the accessibility was pretty pleasant. Even the most expensive hotels can really blow it with that. The doors were light, there was a roll-in shower with a standing shower head as well as one for use with a shower chair (which was also provided). Seated level peephole, lowered sink, wide doorframes, no stairs or stoops to get to the room… The property was quiet, and the proximity to Denny’s and a convenience store was a nice plus. The manager was friendly, and I like the ease of the lockbox drop for room keys on checkout. Now the cons: All the linens were very obviously old. The pillows were

One of best hotel with great price. Easy check in/out. Clean comfortable bed and sheets, shower and bathroom are fabulous and room is specious. Great location easy to access from freeway. Feeling safe around and something to eat in few steps or walk in distance. I would definitely comeback or stop by when I roadtrip between LA and SF

Very nice place for the price. Wasn't expecting much because of the price but everything was clean and you can tell housekeeping does a really good job here. The man at the front desk was very nice and very helpful during my stay. Will definitely be returning here next time. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay, this is definitely it.

This was my second stay here, and I absolutely love staying at this property. Everything was great once again. This time I had a small issue with the light, but the gentleman at the front desk was very quick and helpful in getting it fixed. I really appreciate the excellent service and look forward to staying here again.
