This is a review of the bistro only. I want to love this place. I've been a few times for dinner and twice for Thanksgiving. Here's what I've experienced: inconsistency. Thanksgiving was excellent service, but the food was cold. Last night dinner: we were sitting ten minutes before someone came to give us water and take our drink order--and that was only after we flagged them down. The food was good, but again, cold. I LOVE the atmosphere of this place, and the drinks are always great, but I wish, oh how I wish, this place could fire on all cylinders, just once. When it does I'll be writing a great review!

Don’t stay here - they’ll accuse you of stealing.||I joined my friend on a work trip who booked the hotel. We saw a guest in the room by us wearing a robe and noticed we didn’t have any in our room. We called front desk and asked if we could get robes since our room didn’t have them, and they offered to bring some up. Well, they never did, so my friend went down to the lobby to grab them, and explained the situation again and was given the robes. At no point were we told the rooms come with robes. We left the robes in the room on our way out. To my friend’s surprise, she was charged $450 for THREE robes, more than the cost of our single night of stay ($340). She spoke to the front desk and general manager who kept insisting they kept accurate inventory count. My friend asked if there were

Spent a few days here for my birthday and it was magical. We came in August so we were fortunate enough to miss out on it being busy with college students. Everything was amazing and we are thinking of making this a yearly visit! Wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else. Beautiful boutique hotel with an amazing bistro and TRUE speakeasy with spectacular services. It’s in a prime location of walking distance to everything!

This review is for the Bistro. Service is 1 star out of 5. We just had a Sunday brunch at the Bistro where we had a great experience with Taste of SLO Food Walking Tour last November but it was not as great as we expected. Servers are rather relaxed and not attentive. they like hanging out at the bar counter area all the way inside away from patio tables. It took for a while until we could place our order and our drinks ( Orange juice and Latte) didn’t show up for a while as well as food. It was not crowded at all. I ordered French Toast Bread Pudding which was so delicious last time but it was rather dry without enough syrup. I wanted to ask for a syrup but no servers were around in the patio area, my husband had to stand up and to go to the bar counter area where servers were all ha
