Tru by Hilton Middletown

All my stays recently at Tru hotels have been fantastic. This was no exception. I got in late, but found everything in order in my room. Everything was clean and spotless. The star of the show is the bed. And the pillows. I slept through the night and didn’t wake up until a little bit of sunlight was coming through the window. Just the rest that I needed||Breakfast was fine, but I need to wake up even earlier because too many guests were coming at me from every direction yet the food was good, but the best part of this visit was definitely the conversation with Anaiah, who had a smile and kind words for all her guests.||This is definitely a cut above. Nothing pretentious, but everything clean and spotless. This is the way I like to travel.

Positive: It was nice and clean looking. I loved the look of the lobby Negative: The receptionist could not find my reservation. It took over 30 minutes to get us situated in a room and we came at two in the morning. We finally got checked in and the room heat did not turn on.

I honestly didn’t expect to like this hotel as much as I did, but Tru by Hilton in Middletown really surprised us in the best way. From the second we walked in, the place felt clean, modern, and super inviting. The lobby has that open, bright vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away, and the staff at the desk greeted us like they actually cared — not rushed, not robotic. The room was spotless and designed smart. Everything is simple but works exactly how you want it to. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean with great water pressure, and the storage layout actually made sense for once. It felt fresh and updated, not like some hotels where everything feels worn out. Location is perfect too — right near all the restaurants, stores, and the highway, but still quiet enough

The hallway our room was down smelled like weed and we barely slept because the bed and blankets were so uncomfortable. But the staff was super nice and the room was pretty clean. The location wasn't too far from the highway or a local plaza either which was convenient. This was our budget pick, so I concede that you get what you paid for. 4 stars because the staff was so nice otherwise it'd probably be 3. Clean room, hot shower if you're looking for a more affordable hotel in that area.

I gave this place 2 stars out of being gracious. There is one manager called G and he is a racist. On March 7th 2026 he called the police on a Black lady for sharing her pain and hurt with him. The lady was very upset because she is battling cancer, her son just died in hospice she has 5 underlined illnesses dealing with her nerves, her other son is in the hospital and she drove all the way from Maryland. The Manager knew about her problems and intentionally called the police on her to bring more stress, there was 13 police cars outside . They treated this lady like a criminal. She was a Nurse and lives in a million dollar home in Maryland. The heat in 3 of the rooms I was in did not work. I called and complained he told me after I check out that he was going to put me on the do no
