Travelers Rest Motel

The receptionist is very rude and disrespectful. Must not be a pet lover because even with my dogs being service animals she was not letting me stay. She kicked me out the first night so me and my dogs wondered on the streets cold as heck she didn't care next day I snuck my dogs in . She got upset threatened to kick me out again and call the police . I told I was contacting a lawyer and the news station. They come in your room everyday if your there or not they don't give you any toiletries knowing you need some . You have to go to office to ask for some. I would stay here if I had to pay for it myself. A program put me in there. That lady needs a different job she is not people friendly or she discriminates against someone who likes the same sex.

Stayed here recently because it was the cheapest option in the area. The man who checked us in was nice and organized, but the room was far from the same. The carpet looked very old, discolored and very worn. I'm usually pretty tolerant of hotels and communal areas, but in this room, I was hesitant to walk on the carpet with just my socks on. The room had a fridge and microwave, but the fridge barely felt like it was on, we placed our drinks in the freezer portion to bring our drinks down to a chill. The toilet barely flushed and the shower was closed-in, not the usual shower tub combo you find in a motel/hotel that is easy to clean and easily accessible. The A/C was pretty loud which unfortunately came in handy when the occupants of the room next door began talking quite loudly at 4

When i got there, I told them I had a reservation through Expedia. They said they didn't do reservations. They clearly scrambled to put us in a room. The bathroom doesn't have windows and justia am open hole, the bed is like sleeping on springs, and there are no power outlets to charge anything.

Don’t recommend! I made a reservation through Expedia more than a month before the trip. Also, I called before to ask about cancellation and all I knew from the receptionist is If I book through the hotel, when I cancel I will get the refund. If I book through Expedia, it’s non-refundable. The receptionist never mentioned that the hotel doesn’t accept booking from Expedia. My family took 6 hours to the hotel and was rejected to get a room just because of the problem between the hotel and Expedia. I asked her if you don’t accept booking from Expedia, why did your hotel show on Expedia list? She said she don’t know. Then I had to contact to Expedia. This totally ruins my whole family trip. Never come back!

$100 included tax. Saturday night. Paid cash + $20 deposit. They keep the tv remote controls at the front desk. Tile walls in the shower are bowing out and breaking. Room had no smell. Carpet looked clean. Had fridge and microwave. Only a couple of plugs.
