Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites San Jose North/Silicon Valley

I stayed in this hotel instead of the fancier hotel where the conference I was presenting at was held. I liked this hotel much better than the other hotel. It was great value for money as it included a very nice breakfast. There was a lovely, clean pool and jacuzzi. The staff was helpful, pleasant and efficient. There is a nature trail just behind the hotel that leads to an area with salt marshes and water fowl; a plus for a bird watcher like me! I had a room on the ground floor right next to the pool and was worried about noise; however, the quality of the windows and black out drapes made it possible for me to have a great night's sleep.

Breakfast is good. The hotel building has 4 floors, the sunset view from our window is amazing as our room with sea is on the 3rd floor. The staffs are friendly, and allowed us to have a late check-out at 2pm without any charge. The parking is free and it's very easy to find parking space.

Booked this hotel last minute for an overnight stay. Check-in was quick and easy, and we were given a room close to the elevator on the first floor, which we preferred. The room itself was smaller than what we usually get here (we’ve stayed multiple times and the rooms are typically very spacious), but since we were only there a few hours to sleep, it worked fine. The hotel itself is very clean and welcoming. The lobby has a nice seating area, plus a business section with computers and printing access. They offer complimentary breakfast with a good spread—eggs, sausage, oatmeal, toast, muffins, yogurt, etc.—and it was all fresh and tasty. Summary: Okay, not great. Pros: (1) best price for area, (2) best continental breakfast I have ever had at any hotel ever! 😋 Cons: (1) small rooms (they really maximized space — good for profits, not for guests) (2) paper thin walls (could hear word for word the entire conversation of our neighbors from about 1:30am until past 2:00am; was loud enough I couldn’t sleep) — (3) bistro has poor service (we got forgotten about after making our dinner order — food got cold); this has little bearing on my rating, but a good FYI.

Very nice. The seating area with fold out couch and extra bedding in room was a very nice touch. Close proximity to Levis stadium. Pro tip- no ride share services for 1 hour within a 2 mile proximity of Levis stadium. Would've been nice to know before the end of the concert. This is in no way the fault of the hotel. This location will definitely get our repeat business.
