Convention Center Inn & Suites

With all the positive reviews lemme just say how shocked I was at the treatment I got here. We showed up to the hotel and everything is all good we check in and we got a message that our friends needed somewhere to stay for the convention we were attending. So we went back to the desk and asked to switch to a 2 bed. The owner (I assume he is the owner) was kind and understanding and let us upgrade for our 2 other friends. Our friends show up and help us lug everything up to the third floor (I have pots so it's very hard for me to carry heavy things up stairs on top of it being hard to do stairs in general). IMMEDIATELY the owner was at our door and walks into the room stating he needed everyones ID and saying we were lying about how many people were staying in the room. Mind you we barely

Positive: The clean room. Spacious and immaculately presented Negative: The location probably is moderate but only if you walk in the wrong direction. Not uncommon anywhere you go.

The owner smells really bad and was very rude. I’m visiting the city of San Jose at wanted to book a room at convention center Inn & suites but before i can even open my car door I’m getting yelled at “what’s my problem” so I left and didn’t book a room. It was very abrupt rude and nasty behavior. Felt very discriminatory I was so embarrassed and hurt. Dont park in his lot if you want to book a room, he’ll yell at you.

Great place to stay for the price!! hot water working, heater/AC working, WiFi. Another PLUS is that It is also pretty CLEAN! On top of it all is also FREE parking on the premise included! many other hotels charges $45+/night for parking! Which I find RIDICULOUS and is why I decided to give this place a try. I did not regret it. This host is super friendly and has lots of humor. He made us Felt welcomed! The Area also felt safe. I did not experience anything worrisome. Would totally recommend and stay again when revisiting San Jose! THANK YOU!

Rooms are fairly nice (newish renovation), with a small sitting area with tv, plus a larger sleeping area with a bigger tv. Aircon/heater is rather noisy on low fan speed. Good bathroom. Bed a bit hard for me, plus I did get a bedbug bite overnight. Lots of parking as it used to be a motel. Area around is getting rather dodgy. Next door is another motel being used for homeless/half-way housing. Generally, this part of San Jose has become rather empty since covid, except when the Convention Center has an event.
