Travel Inn

These people are extremely rude and dishonest. We got bitten on our first night but couldn’t find any bugs to prove it. On our second night there we found two bed bugs and asked for a refund. They only refunded us one night. We told them we had to stay the night still as everywhere else was sold out of rooms and we found two more bugs throughout the night as well. At 8am they forced their way into our room, started screaming for us to give them the money back since we stayed the night and threatened to call police if we didn’t. Mind you the night before we told them we would have to stay the rest of the night(it was after midnight by the time we got the refund).

Please take into consideration that this is just my opinion. You may not have the same experience that we did.||||We rode by, the place looked clean on the outside. It was one story and I didn't need to be climbing steps with all these pinched nerves I have. The price was really good for a KING bed. The place is next door to McDonald's. We were only staying for one night due to the boyfriend taking care of HVAC customer he has there in Wilmington. Entered the room, smelled clean. Fridge worked. Has a microwave. Bed was comfy and clean. Floor was clean... I walked around in sock feet and they did not change colors. The bathroom was clean. It was quiet as well. Some people think this place is great. Others think it's a dump. Here's what I can "honestly" say regarding "my" experience here over the past few days... The people are really nice here. Owners, management, staff... All great. I was not hassled in any way for being a resident of Wilmington. In fact, this was the ONLY PLACE in the entire area that did not treat me like a criminal or gang member - for simply "asking" for service. If you come here, just act right and take care of stuff. The owners have been just fantastic since I've been here. Also, Travel Inn offers Smoking and Non-Smoking rooms! I chose a smoking room. Visiting on Labor Day weekend and needed something last minute. Travel Inn was the only place that could take me. Close to many stores, 20 min from Wrightsville Beach. I stayed 2 nights and my room was clean, decent price, friendly housekeeping service. Would stay again if I needed to. Only thing is the traffic/outside noise but the air conditioner helped to drown the outside noise out. 😅 Also; I wish they had of had breakfast 🥹 other than that 10/10 would recommend.

The room was disgusting. On top of that in google it stated that the room was $64 but we called in advance. The woman at the front desk said that it was $90 plus tax making it $125 so $35 worth of taxes. Anyhow when we got there the woman said that it was $125 plus tax making it $145. My sister and I walked out and sat in the car looking for another room. The woman came out and told us that she would do it for $125. My sister agreed but I would've much rather slept in the car. No flat screens and questionable bedding. Next day I found a cleaner room for half of that price. They really got over on us there were holes in the wall and the carpet was questionable as well.
