The Cove Riverwalk Villas

Stayed at The Cove Riverwalk Villas in January, right after the holidays, and it was the perfect post-holiday reset. The calm along the Cape Fear River that time of year is incredibly peaceful. My villa was absolutely spotless—everything felt fresh, and the living space thoughtfully laid out; a great balance between waterfront charm and modern comfort. Even in the winter, the views were beautiful, with quiet mornings and stunning sunsets over the water. It feels tucked away and serene, yet you’re still just minutes from downtown Wilmington. If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing waterfront stay—especially during the quieter winter months—this is a fantastic choice. Would definitely return.

Very neat and unique experience. Clean, comfortable well stocked facilities. Comfortable, clean beds. Kitchen was a nice touch and had everything needed to cook meals. We were in town for a conference at the Wilmington Convention center. It was an easy walk from our boat to the convention center. The Staff were very responsive and friendly. Our stay was during the snow storm. The heat kept the house nice and warm and the staff was very responsive removing snow from the walkways.

This was absolutely one of the most magical places we have stayed. The decor was so well planned and beautiful. The location was great and the view breathtaking. So impressed with everything about The Cove. Personnel we encountered were gracious and knowledgeable! We were celebrating my granddaughter’s 30th birthday. Her Mom and my daughter flew in from Seattle to join in the festivities. Everyone in our party had a wonderful time. We are already discussing a future stay and there may be a wedding involved-who knows!!

Stunning! My family of five, including our three adult children, genuinely enjoyed our stay at The Cove, specifically at the Dockside Villa. Wow. The villa has absolutely everything you could possibly need for an extraordinary time. The surrounding area on the dock is just gorgeous with breathtaking sunsets. Oddly, we did not see a single water bird on any dock, pier, boat or railing. The villa community was extremely clean and well cared for. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a home away from home. Dockside had games and a record player, loads of space and is decorated with a modern chic style. It was quite cold when we visited, so we did not utilize the decks, but really wanted to. Love that downtown is within a 15-20 minute walk to anything. We highly recommend the es

This is one of my absolute favorite places to come to for a complete reset. It's very peaceful and relaxing. I've stayed at The Aquatic and The Dockside. They are beside one another. Both boathouses are decorated nicely. I loved the furniture choices in both houses. They both face the marina which is a beautiful touch. The Dockside has a record player that I fell in love with. During the evenings it was so soothing to have a crafted old fashioned while listening to the variety of albums they provided. The decks on these units were great for socializing, eating meals, watching the breathtaking sunset, relaxing, etc. There is a sink and a refrigerator out there as well. The community area at the end of the dock is also a great place to catch the sunset. A grill is also provided in this area
