TownePlace Suites by Marriott San Luis Obispo

Great hotel and even better staff! I had a wonderful stay here, but the highlight was the service I received after I left. I forgot my wallet at the property, and Kevin went above and beyond to help me. He found it and shipped it back to me with great care and proper packing. It’s rare to find such helpful and honest people. Highly recommend this location for both the quality of the rooms and the incredible team working there!

I stayed here with my family 8/4-8/9 and did not have a pleasant experience. I left a poor review of my experience on a survey from the hotel after my stay and was almost immediately contacted by the hotel general manager Erik Mund. He apologized for my experience and offered to either provide me with a partial refund of my stay or some Marriot Bonvoy credit. That was almost a month ago and I haven’t heard back from him since. This pretty much sums up my experience with this hotel in general. Nobody really cares who works here. It’s just a job that they check in and check out.

The breakfast was good, and better staffed, but neither was the staff great/ courteous or polite, nor were they very accommodating and respectful of Titanium or Ambassador level status members. It’s a good location, lots of EV charging and close to the freeways, but they need to treat the top 1% of Bonvoy members much better to earn better reviews.

I had such a great experience staying at TownePlace Suites in San Luis Obispo. Breakfast was delicious, and the lady serving it was so kind and helpful every morning. I also want to give a big thank-you to Zayra and Maria from housekeeping. They went above and beyond to make sure my room was comfortable, and their friendly attitude really stood out. It made my stay feel extra welcoming.

Very nice room with a kitchen that we did not need, so the actual bedroom space was smaller than usual, but the facility offers lots of nice gathering spaces, including a heated outdoor pool. Clean, comfortable, and handy to the airport. Just off the freeway, we were worried about road noise, but we were able to sleep with our window open. Young people at the front desk were GREAT... exuberant and very helpful with suggestions for site seeing.
